Contemporary auto design language generally dictates that headlights blend with the lines of the car. That works for some cars, but not all. I like to think the Challenger proves that sometimes circles make the best lights.

When you're doing a retro car it's hard to do anything other than round headlights which is why the Challenger, Camaro and Mustang all have them, but I agree that they look good.

I really miss a good quad headlight setup.
To be honest, it's possible to do something other than the standard 'oddly shaped blob' headlights and still look modern and cool. Just check out the 159.

Meh, the Challenger's are only circular because of the black plastic in front of it. The actual assembly is kinda ugly.

I like the Challenger's design, but not the execution. Using the inner lamps as turn indicators is HORSESHIT, they should be high beams. The turn signals should be in the bumper as they were on the OG Challenger.
Instead, we have fog lights too far down in the bumper, and a big ugly expanse of nothingness between them and the headlights. And don't get me started on the "mouth" down there....
Other than that I think the design is perfect, and the car is definitely on my bucket list, whereas the current Camaro and Mustang are not.

Round headlights are often best headlights. I like how most cars still use circular lamps though; suggesting "eyes" so the cars don't look too alien.

Yeah, it is pretty fattened-up.
